Restart - Düsseldorf infrastructure

We are rebooting our infrastructure in Düsseldorf and deploying new updates and security aspects.

The restart is scheduled to take 30 minutes and should not cause any irregularities. During this time, all services running on the infrastructure will be unavailable.

Expansion of the RPKI cluster

We are expanding the RPKI cluster and would like to integrate additional slaves into the cluster. So that we can continue to operate the RPKI certificates.

We currently have a single server in the cluster, which can result in rejection or unavailability of the individual IP networks in the event of failures by our provider. By expanding the cluster, we are addressing this problem and adding two more servers to the cluster - which are operated via multi-sites.

During this period, there may be interruptions to the RPKI certificates. We do not expect this, but we would still like to inform you of any circumstances. Should this be the case, we will always endeavour to deploy the RPKI certificates again immediately.

Updates for the mail cluster

We will update the mail cluster to the current status and integrate additional security mechanisms in the course of the past updates.

We expect half an hour per node, as we operate nine of them - we assume a maintenance window of five to seven hours.

We carry out the updates in such a way that the availability of a mail server is guaranteed at all times. This means that all important emails can be delivered and sent.

Accordingly, we do not expect any downtime overall.

We have now measured an average packet loss of 6.46% in NTT FRA01 (DE) for several hours (four hours and 36 minutes to be precise). This value fluctuates between 2.63% and 11.71%.

So far we have no information available.

Explanation of the incident report: If a packet loss of more than 10.00% is measured over a period of 10 minutes, our system automatically triggers an alarm. For this reason, we have reported the manual incident.

  • In the meantime, we can say that the network has obviously continued to stabilise.

    TeamSpeak-Instances / -Servers Restructuring of our reselling service

    We will continue the project, under the name: Reseller Services, somewhat reorientated.

    This includes cheaper locations and more options. We will remove our servers from the Interxion FRA campus and only realise them at cheaper locations.

    This fundamentally means that we can reduce the monthly basic fees and bring significantly more scalability. In addition, due to IP bottlenecks, we do not want to fill our own infrastructure with TeamSpeak instances, for example, as we need these for our B2B customers. Accordingly, we will migrate the instances to other locations, which are also already available in our interface.
